The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, unctuous, deep chocolate character, cocoa, vanilla fudge, toasted hazelnut, praline, fererro rocher and cookie dough. The taste is slick, oily, decadent, unctuous, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, earthy, coffee grounds, warming booze, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, chocolate bourbons, cookie dough, hint of acidity, pleasing nutty character, hazelnut, praline, pecan pie vibes and just a touch of tannin with a drying toasty nut finish. Full body, average body and slick mouth feel. Well done. Hazelnut is a nice addition. Not overly sweet. Manchester are definitely doing better than Ellon at the moment with stouts.
