Bottle from Home & Bargains – cheap ! Has a faintly disagreeable aroma of fresh earth and mushrooms. Pours a slightly brownish yellow with a frothy transient white head. After taking my first sip taking I looked and the bottle for ingredients. And yes, rice is listed ! Taste more like a mushroom risotto actually, with also cooking oil and (bizarrely) glace cherries. Finish is sweet. A pretty forgettable beer all round !

Can carried back from Thailand. Very pale gold, low head. Grainy nose is weak but not nasty, some rice, light malt, touch of hops. Lemony light, crisp, bit ricey. Ok for tropical weather, and this is definitely better than the oxidized imported stuff.

Sampled from 0.32 l bottle from local 'LIDL', best before September 2020. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish aroma of grains. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, minimally grassy-spicy taste of grains and traces of straw, followed by a short, minimally bitter, a little grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable, fairly inoffensive, just plain boring.

In einem Restaurant in Vietnam. Klares helles gelb mit weißer fester Schaumkrone. Aroma: moderat Malzig, zuckrig, ein wenig Getreide. Geschmack: leicht süßlich, etwas Reis, ein wenig metallisch. Kaum bitter.

It's a little better in a green bottle at least. Has some of that skunky infection which I actually prefer in boring lagers. Golden pour. Not too much of a cloying aftertaste. Bottle.
