False Dichotomy is an India Pale Lager, a collaborative take on an IPL form Two Brothers Brewing Company and Metropolitan Brewing. It was brewed at the Two Brothers' brewery with Metropolitan's house lager yeast and a bunch of fun new hops. This collaboration by these long time brewing friends is 26 years of Chicago craft beer experience in a bottle. A bold truth!

12oz bottle pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up earthy floral and herbal hop notes, an earthy berry sensation, minerals, more floral hop notes and then a bit of earthy sorghum (or something). The taste delivers a bitter hop juniper berry sort of floral essence that then picks up some malts and a mineral malty, slightly cracker like character. It gets more floral and spicy and dank without being onion like. Hmm. Interesting beer. There’s good balance between the bitter hops and whatever else is going on in here.

Tap at Draught 55 burnt dirty golden beer white head. Nose is floral hops and some ripe fruits. Tastes very bready, lager yeast, cantaloupe, sweet grains, floral. Bitter and finishes semi sweet.
