Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a near clear amber brown body that supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up some spices, a bit of nuttiness and then a sliver of roasted malts. The taste delivers malts, sweet nuttiness, some spices and then a mildly spiced raisin and plum sensation. Another sip allows for a focus on the malts and light malt roastiness that’s ringed by the smooth modest dark fruitiness. Another sip and it seems a little earthy as well. At room temperature the earthy note grows some and takes on a nice earthy tea like sensation.
