Bottled. Black colour with a mediumsized beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, some wood, mild ashes as well as some slight burnt sugary notes. Flavour is rather similar, but has a nice floral hoppiness kicking in as well. Smooth and quite creamy palate.

Bottle.Pitch Black colour with large beige head.Aroma of earth and licorice,nice well balanced beer with flavor of burnt malt and caramel,nice with good full body,and nice smooth finish.

Draught @ The Bishops Arms, Ny Ostergade 14, Copenhagen, Denmark 1101.Clear dark black brown colour with a large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt bitter. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, coal dusty, roasted malt - burnt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130502]

Bottle @ Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is roast, liquorice and dark fruit. Smooth and roasted flavor with coffee, liquorice and a whiff of charcoal. Dry and bitter finish, Quality.

DØE. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 240513
