Fionn is our hazelnut coffee imperial porter. The name comes from a pretty rad story in Irish Mythology. It's a long story that includes a salmon, precisely 9 hazelnuts, a dude name Finn, and an even cooler dude named Fionn. We couldn't think of anything cooler than aging this beer in Rum and Bourbon barrels for 19 months then adding toasted hazelnuts, hazelnut coffee and coconut.

750mL bottle at LC member party, 1/17/25.
Dark, clear. Small, tan head.
Sweet coconut fruit and lots of fudgey chocolate. Moderate barrel character, rather mellow. Not overly sweet nor boozey.
In the flavor, yes it's sweet, but not really all that much more so than any other pastry stout. Certainly not cloying or notably sweet. Fudge, caramel, vanilla, tons of coconut. Soft, velvety and lightly syrupy with no booze noted.
