Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Dark brown body with a creamy beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood, biscuit and copper. Flavour of lightly roasted malt and caramel. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A sweet, beery beer. It’s a bit thin but there’s a nice flavour.

Can from Appellation Wines. Hard pour to get the nitro effect. Clear copper with a thick clotted cream-coloured head. Aromas of dried fruit, raisins and toffee. Taste is brown sugar, light fruit. Light sweet finish.

Visited the Royal Botanic Gardens of Edinburgh earlier and saw some rare species. Scottish style ales are quite rare in England too where I live, so really enjoyed this soft dark traditional brew - or as traditional as it gets from keg!

Can from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - big nitro open, calming down to a deep brown head and a cream to beige, big nitro head.
Nose - caramel, brown bread, raisins and toast.
Taste - more raisins and caramel. Sweet spiced cake.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and sweet then lightly drying finish.
Overall - a great example of a Scottish Ale.
