At Copenhagen Beer Festival, May 2013. Black with a big and lasting tan head. Roasted malty aroma with licorice. Sweet roasted flavour with licorice and roasted notes. Sweet and intense, a bit too much...

Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2013 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear dark black colour with a large, creamy, excellent - good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, strong dark dark coffee, medicine, band-aid. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, syrupy sugar - honey, sweet malt, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20130524]

Draft @ DØE Ølfestival 2013. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty weak woody chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and weak coffee finish.

Sampled from tap at Stronzo’s exhibition stand, ØK 13. Mostly diminishing fawn-coloured head over a jet black body. Roasted malts to the nose, semi-dry. Dark chocolate and dark caramel flavours leading to a roasted grainy finish. Strong with warming alcohol. Satisfying (Copenhagen 25.05.2013).

Draught@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is fruits, liquorice, some chocolate and toast with quite strong on the alcohol as well. Flavour is quite similar, with this base beer for the coffee things being quite boozy, still pleasant.

DØE. Black with a small light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 240513

Sample @ DØE. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, vegetables and coffee. Creamy and smooth.

Sample from tap, CBF 2013. Pitch black with a big, creamy, tan head. Sweet, roasted aroma with rich chocolate and chocolate malts, a hint of smoke. Taste is sweet. Full body, creamy texture. Finishes bitter and dry with chocolate and roasted malts. Nice stout.
