19/1/2025. Bottle bought at an Auchan in France, probably Calais, some years ago, seems to have got forgotten in the boxes of stock. Opened and poured fine, clear deep amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, sweet fruits, biscuit. Taste is quite sweet with mellow bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Considering this was a cheap supermarket beer beyond its bb date this was okay.

(Bottle 33 cl) I bought this in a French supermarket, thinking that it was a French beer. But no, it’s a "Bière Belge". Information about the brewery is nowhere to be found on the label, except that it’s produced for the Auchan-supermarkets. Very orange/amber-colored, unclear with a very creamy and lively head. The style is very close to a Tripel, sweet with a bit of sharp hops. But it’s not exactly a "Big Belgian". 051003

Blond colour, generous head, nice perlage. Light malt, a bit metallic aroma. Not completely mature, but quite nice balance of malt and hop, again somehow metallic. Ordinary palate.
