Lukter tørket frukt, dadler, trevirke og brunt sukker. Fyldig. Tung sødme, alkohol, kandis og tørket frukt. Kandisen og alkoholen sitter lenge.

330ml bottle at Man in the Moon. Bubbly, filmy layer over a clear (dark) amber coloured body. Fair lacing. Aroma of dried fruits and brown malts. Solid mid-sweet flavours of raisin, figs, biscuit and caramel. Long-lived bittersweet finish supported by the warmth from the alcohol. Full bodied. Perfect after dinner drink (Stockholm 26.11.2016).

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear pale amber with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts and alcohol. Sweet, malty body, lowish carbonation. Caramellish warming alcohol, nicely balanced between malts and alcohol. A very straight BW with a malt focus - nothing too challenging. 100816

Bottle, as Nils Oscar Celebration 2015, 9.9% to celebrate the end of 2015 in Jönköping, Sweden :-) Pours hazy amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of caramel and touches of yeast and hops. Sweetish flavour of fruit and caramel malt, with bitter notes of hops and metal. Bitter-sweet aftertaste. Okay but rather potent.

Flaska från SB. Väldigt fin stiltypisk doft, klassisk UK BW. Torkad frukt, russin, honung, vanilj, fudge, söt tobak, syltade apelsinskal. Smaken lyfter inte riktigt lika väl, smakerna finns där men lite faddare. Men riktigt gott och en de bäst BW som gjorts i Sverige.

33 cl bottle @ Pikkulintu, BBE 05/2019. Very sweet aroma with ripe fruits and strong malty tones typical to doppelbocks. Flavour is rather malty with caramel, toffee, some alcohol, ripe fruits and distant woody tones. Something between american strong, barley wine and doppelbock. Sweet, but alcohol brings balance; a nice slow sipper.

Bottle courtesy of RoNo. Pours clear amber with a tiny bubbly golden head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with biscuits, caramel, cereal, oatmeal cookies, alcohol, dark honey, wood and hints of dark rum. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter, malty and tiny floral with biscuits, sweet dark bread, caramel, dark honey, freshly baked toasty cookies, toasted cereal, wood, old dark rum, raisins, dates, christmas fruit cake and alcohol. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, boozy, tiny fizzy and near medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with caramel, toasted malts, cookie dough, alcohol, wood, dark rum, honey and christmas fruit cake. Interesting but the surprisingly light body and heavily sweet taste makes it somewhat of a lesser experience.
