Cuvee Ange was inspired by the French Oak wine barrels that once housed all French wine varietals. Fermented with wild yeast and aged in a combination of Cabernet, Merlot, and Grenache barrels with raspberries and blackberries, Cuvee Ange is a fruity, tart, and complex ale. Cuvee Ange pours a bright rose with aromas of fruit, funk, and wood.

750 ml bottle shared by thomas15. The pour is cloudy golden with a hint of ruby and a smallish egg white head. The aroma is fruit, berry and white grape, oak barrel along with funk and some butter. The taste matches the nose, fruit of the berry and white wine, the oak barrel woodiness and funk and a bit of a nearly off butter taste way in the back. It’s not diacetyl, more of a Chardonnay character. The palate is medium bodied, slick carbonation and wood earth funk finish. Fun stuff, thanks for sharing Thomas.
