Bottle split with JF at a Sue’s away mini tasting in the ’Sham, 11/03/14, thanks to a trade with Jan (Fonefan). Pitch black with a big dirty tan head formed of bubbles that soon thins leaving some flotsam and jetsam atop the beer. Nose is bitter roast, earthy, coffee, dark chocolate, boozey notes. Taste comprises big roast - quite bitter and harsh at times, liqourice, more booze, molasses, leather, tar, bitter dark chocolate. Full bodied, fine carbonation, dry roasted close with warming alcohol. Average impy - a little hot and harsh at times.

Bottled@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour, no head. Aroma is liquorice, some alcohol, vanilla and mild hoppyness too. Flavour is liquorice, some alcohol and mild sour wood as well as sweet malts and some mild bitterness kicking in. Still a bit fresh and alcohol pushes through, but this one will most likely mellow out a bitif aged.
