Can (11/26/24) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Virtually opaque dark brown w/red hue, tons of sparkle, nice head with good retention, light lacing. Aroma is strong earthy, roasted malt, pecan, hint of maple sugar. Taste follows aroma with stronger maple and nut. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering roasted bitterness. I have to say, I'm usually not a big mushroom guy but this is the second candy cap mushroom brew I've had and that's a fungi I can get behind--tasty!

Pours mahogany-tinged black into a willi. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes to hug rim. Pecan, maple and musty mushroom aromas. Medium bodied with espresso and dark chocolate upfront turning to sweet pecan pie in the medium length finish.

16 oz can. Aroma of maple, earthy grain, and roasted coffee. Backbone of the flavor is earthy tones with soft traces of maple candy and a mild bitter coffee finish. A nice amount of flavor for the gravity!
