The best of both worlds! We brew this beer with classic lager hops and malts, then use our traditional brewing methods to blend the two styles. It’s a little hoppier than a lager, but smoother than a pale ale. No matter the nomenclature, Cold Snap does happen to be rather tasty.

Bright clear gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light with decent fine carbonation. Light thin and semi sweet malts. Mild esters in the mid. Moderately bitter floralness and a very light touch of citric hops in the crispy finish. Clean and easy drinking.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a good head. Nose - slightly fusty aroma is getting in the way of the lemon note. Taste - savoury, lemon/orange with a dry malty and pithy finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - is this a lager? It’s solid.

500ml bottle with AshtonMcCobb. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Grainy lemon aromas, orange too. Taste is too hop bitter and pithy for lager.

Bottle. Light orange in colour, not much of a head. It does have lager character but with a small fruit hopped nose. It’s taste is more malty but there’s some fruit evident in here too.

500ml bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield (recommended) - A nice clear body, thin wispy white head, lasts for a few seconds then gone. Pleasant grainy nose, short bite in the first sip, fruits and sweetness carry through to a short bitter finish. Very pleasant indeed, and a nice change from the heavier winter beers.
