Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky glowing dull gold body that has thin copper hues and supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up dirty beats, muted roasted chocolate, some biscuits and a sense of cracker toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers earthy vegetable notes, dark brown dirt, roasty chocolate and then more muted chocolate to midway. Whoa. This is out there. It ends kind of brown sugar and somehow sweet toasted bread and wort like. ? Good effort but the chocolate seems muted and maybe over heated (?) .
