Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 29.08.15. Ebony. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, brittle and pineapple. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, brittle and vanilla. Perhaps a bit waterish mouthfeel for an imperial stout.

Bottle 60 cl. Pours black with an orange hue and a small, beige head. Heavy oaky aroma atop some chocolatey roast. Medium body, a very ashy roastiness and again a massive oak impact. No traces of Cognac. More oak chips than barrel in this one. Rather rustic. 030414

Bottled@CPH BF 2013. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, mild liquorice, some slightly smoked wooden notes along with chocolat and mild vanilla. Flavour is quite similar, with also a slight sting of alcohol and cognac. Balanced, and quite beautiful.
