500ml bottle from Grumpy Goat, Reading. Clear mid brown with lasting light beige head. Aroma has citrus from the hops and also chocolate. Flavour reminds me of those chocolate lime sweets.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines, Comely Bank branch. Pours a copper-tinged brown with a good, long-lasting white head. Inviting. Aromas has something floral, orangey, and pungent. There’s malt and spice in there too. It’s basically a Lush bath bomb, made of beer. In the mouth it comes apart a wee bit, but only because there’s a bit too much going on, with everything vying for attention. A very nice beer though. Want to try more.

500ml bottle from Nina’s Mini Market. Good looking with its huge, bubbly off-white head over a clear, amber-brown coloured body. Good amount of lacing down the glass. Roasted malts on the nose, hints of coffee. Taste of nuts, herbal hops and resin followed by a straight bitter finish. Pretty nice (hotel room, Edinburgh 10.08.2013).
