Aged in an 8 year Elijah Craig barrel for 9 months before finishing in a Hemingway Papas Pilar Rum barrel for 4 additional months. Our first time incorporating rum into our barrel aged program and we could not be more excited for how it turned out!

375mL bottle at LC member party, 1/18/25.
Clear, dark auburn-caramel. Small, off-white head.
Rich maltiness with a plethora of caramel and toffee. Light raisin and light vanilla notes. Light to moderate barrel character with no sharpness from the rum.
Rich and malty, of course. Deep malts, pretty good attenuation though maybe a touch sweet. Raisin, vanilla, toffee forever. Didn't particularly notice the rum barrel.
