My pint can came from the local beer shop in January, bottom of the can says PKGD 12/19/24. JK is readily available at this store, I am seeing more and more IPAs from the brewery and that is good. As is the usual with beers from Austin breweries that I have put my hands on, I have my ABGB snifter in place for the pour. The view is a indistinct yellow-gold liquid followed by a steadily declining head of ice white foam. Oh, and the carbonation, quite strong rising up. I think the nose is decent, even good. Tropical and citrus both, plenty of grain and hops. I call the taste to be in line with the scent, decently all right. Grapefruit, mangoes, honeydew, some kiwi fruit, malt and hops. I get the sweet, the bitter and also a touch of sour. Jester King knows something about sour. And I am getting used to the recent generation of hops, starting to sink in. I'm not crazy about hazy IPAs but I will always try one from this place.

Aroma has a weird burnt quality to it, along with overripe tropical fruit, candy orange circus peanuts, coconut, buttery popcorn. Taste has a moderate bitterness and typical NEIPA sweetness. Thankfully the weird off-notes fade away after a few minutes, leaving a decent smelling and great tasting beer. Edit: tastes great while it’s cold, but goes downhill fast as it warms in the glass, leaving those horrible buttery off-notes all too readily apparent.
Pina colada packed nose and tons of thick pineapple coconut citrus juicy flavor throughout just from hops, mad delish.
