On tap at CBC, pours a hazy orangey bronze with a small beige head. Aroma of dry stone fruits, toasted caramel and dry bread. Flavour brings out very rich treacly caramel, some dark stone fruits, fairly prominent alcohol, and also a solid hop character. Very complex and well-balanced, with a sticky alcoholic and hoppy finish. Excellent stuff.

Orange beer with a lasting tan head. Fruity aroma - dried fruits, some hops, some roses, some wine. Relatively bitter flavour with some alcohol. Overwhelming full body, and a long lasting aftertaste.

[Another century is turned with a MIkkeller beer - this time rating number 6200] Except for Beer Geek Breakfast Draft Version, this is the Mikkeller beer I’ve had the most of - having it on draft at Ølbaren 1.5 kilometers from my home is nice (as long as it lasts). I have no less than three ratings of this from different enviroments and different stages of drunkedness that I’m combining. The scoring for all three ratings are identical - but the descriptions are more or less thourough.
A hazy dark orange - almost amber beer with a nice creamy and lazing light brown head. The aroma is very sweet and very powerful with primary notes being a combination of malt, alcohol, and hops in a delicate balance, combined with notes of caramel, fresh peaches, over ripe fruits, and citrus. The flavor is like drinking a thick hop juice with a strong alcohol presence, which tickles the tongue and burns slightly in the throat. The flavor also contains more relaxed but still pronounced notes of caramel, wood, and fruits. In the end the hops gain in strength with a strong bitterness, that balances out the sweetness very nicely. The bitterness in turn mixes with a dryness caused by the alcohol for a long lasting dry end. The alcohol gives it a powerful body. This is a Barley Wine with a lot of character.
