The aroma offers up loads of ripe crushed plums, brown sugar stewed cherries, varied winter spices and then a sense of the big ABV with a hit of heat to the tip of the nose. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet malt slicked plum and cherry and fig sweet fruity esters. This is bold and up front sweet fruity esters but they're nicely integrated and tethered to thin rivers of sweet molasses. To midway a mild winter spiciness builds to modest levels along with a growing boozy heat sensation. This creates a pleasing smooth mouth feel as the abundance of fruity esteriness are further contemplated. Solid sipper with restrained booziness for this massive ABV.
