A strong Belgian Golden Ale in the style of the famous Belgian Trappist brewers. We've crafted this fruity robust ale to be as strong as Rapunzel's golden locks. The palate is full but dry with subtle malty sweetness. The yeast induces high alcohol content which delivers the clovey complexity, a characteristic of Belgian Ales.

Sample from tap, CBC 2013. Clear, golden colour with a small, white head. Fruity aroma with caramel malts, yeasts, cloves, with hints of vanilla and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet. Medium body, thinner texture. Finishes dry and yeasty. A hint of pepper. Nice.

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Poured a very slightly hazy yellow colour with a fluffy white head. The aroma is big zesty fruit and yeast. The flavour is clean, slightly sour, with grapefruit and yeast. There seems to be a hint of caramel on the palate too. I canβt think of anyone who would not think this was a gorgeous beer!

Bottle. Clear gold with a white head that settles to a fat coat. Aroma of sweet oranges, banana, coriander, pepper. Very sweet with oranges, banana, peaches, dough. Bitterness is there to balance. Alcohol is not obvious at all (so much so that I checked the bottle to see whether it had changed). Lowish carbonation with creamy texture. Sweetness does not hang around too long - dries out a bit with modest spice notes. All very mellow and enveloping.

Pours amber with a large head.Nose shows spicy phenols, big clove hits, sweet malt, candi sugar and dried fruit.Pretty sweet flavours too, lots of malt although it dries out a bit in the finish. Some booze is noticeable with a soft industrial character.Needs more carbonation to battle the sweetness and further dry out the finish.

(Bottle) Slightly hazy golden with good white head. Aroma of spice, caramel and a hint of funk. Full bodied, almost sticky with nice full smooth carbonation. Flavour starts with a spicy dryness, then develops a rich and over sweet fruitiness which mellows somewhat for a finish of candy with a hint of bitterness. Itβs a pretty decent strong ale but it doesnβt quite hang together properly, in particular the sweetness is too cloying.
