Pint can pours with a dark deep ruby red to mahogany colored body that supports a thin near white head of foam. The aroma offers up brown sugar stewed plums and cherries heading into sweet and slightly spicy black strap molasses and then a hit of near burnt caramel. The taste delivers a blend of brown sugar dusted plums, cherries and figs. Around the sweet dark fruity esters are reduced sugars such as black strap molasses tinged with a lightly burnt and lightly spicy sort of sensation. This already has the melded integrated character of a Quad with a bit of age on it. More time in the cellar will further improve this. Solid offering.
