There is no “wildfire season” anymore in Arizona. Fires can happen year-round, and every year 9 out of 10 wildland fires are started by humans. Use this oak- and mesquite-smoked lager as a guide to make sure your fire is “dead out” and help protect our wilderness.

Sampled from the tap at the Phoenix location. Pours a clear deep amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light smoke and bread with grains and a bit of roasted malt supporting. Flavor has bread and sweet grains with a growing meaty smoke and a hint of roast underlying.

Smoke is light here. Some caramel. Clear maroon pour with decent head. Light smoke in the finish, and a little cloying tang. Tap at Downtown Phoenix location.

Pint can pours with a clear deep ruby red to mahogany colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up a bit of malts, dark fruity esters and a sliver of smoke. The taste delivers some sweet malts wrapped around fig and plum like fruity esters that pick up a slight cherry sensation to midway. The malts create a sense of chewiness while not being thick. Like the nose the ruach is there but far too faint for my taste. This is a sound offering nonetheless. Hopefully this will be made again and the smokiness will be ratcheted up a few notches. 2026 batch. The smokiness in basically at just noticeable levels. Unfortunately and frustratingly. Score is reduced from 7.4 down to 6.9
