12oz can, courtesy of MicroGrog, pours with a clear enough deep gold colored body that supports a tiny white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up malts, a spicy hoppiness and then faint sweet biscuit sensation. The taste delivers sweet malts leading toward a modest degree of bitter spicy hops. To midway the lager yeasty esters are just noticeable above the maltiness. If I didn't read the beer description I wouldn't have picked up on the faint smokiness. This could use a little more forward smokiness to round out the experience. Nice beer.

Can from Appalachian. Goblet @home. Golden, jellied pour. Light twang, very slight smoke, subtle sweetness. Dusty, mellow meaty smoke, slightly acrid, dough, hidden acidity. Just okay.
