12oz (thx, Nick S.!) @ Ryan's after kids' time. Appearance: dark brown with a weak dark beige head. Aroma: quite heavy with fudge, dark chocolate, and vanilla notes. Taste: along the same lines, rye barrels quite prominently come via spicy notes, lots of dark chocolate, and a lot of vanilla that is just on the edge of being too much (thx, god it is not a Triple Vanilla, lol). Overall: good one.

Poured from 355mL bottle (2021 limited release). Very dark brown with small beige head. Very vanilla forward, fudgey chocolate, rye. Prefer the aroma over the taste, almost verging becoming unbalanced with too much vanilla, but pretty solid.

Black waxed 12oz bottle pours with a deep dark mahogany colored body that supports really no head at all. The aroma offers up dessert like notes of boozy fudge flowing into inviting vanilla bean goodness. The taste starts with a deep pleasing blend of booze, chocolate fudge and caramel and then heading into a growing and then lasting rich vanilla yum. Another sip reinforces the molasses and caramel reduced sugars midway and into the finish. The booze is there and not at all distracting but rather integral in balancing out the sweet bottomless richness. Great sipper. Dang.
