Dark brownish red, tan head. Smells fairly spicey, sweet, but still more like a barleywine than something else. Nicely thick, bit boozy. Tastes pretty sweet, but with a very nice balanced mix of spices and coffee. Ginger is subtle, luckily.

32oz crowler pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a full fluffy light tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up brown sugar sweetened yammy pumpkin and a load of winter pumpkin pie like spices and then a murmur of malt nuanced lightly roasted coffee. The taste is full and deep with a lot going on. It has a wide load of malt and molasses and brown sugar sweetened pumpkin and yam notes that quickly pick up a firm degree of cinnamon spice. To midway there is a mild sense of soft sweetened coffee notes that help fight back the growing load of winter spices. This is pretty good with a solid barleywine like malt base but the spiciness can be dialed back a bit.
