12% ABV version pint can pours with a deep dark void of a body that supports a thin ring of dark tan bubbles. The aroma offers up sweetened dark roasted malts, vanilla and a sweet smelling nuttiness. The taste delivers smooth slick sweetened dark roasted malt and chocolate malts blended seamlessly with fairly rich tasting vanilla bean. To midway smooth sweetened nuttiness joins the experience as the chocolate note runs up into dark chocolate hershey bar territory. It ends with lingering sweetened dark roasted malts and chocolate. This is a solid sipper with plenty of depth and interest. The big ABV is well hidden.
