50cl bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a short lived brown head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting array of stewed raisins, prunes, smooth bourbon, a dash of caramel and then a warm spike of booze into the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth sweet candy like caramel, brown sugar stewed raisins and spicy earthy dates. Behind the beer notes lurks the barrel treatment with smooth supple soft bourbon and a fairly well restrained booziness for the massive ABV. It's well integrated and balanced and it also comes across a bit thin. Really nice sipper.
