A fun, new DIPA refresher. We found some really neat high alpha, high oil Hallertau-grown Ariana hops. They are suuuper cool. Tons of berry. The base consists of Sinagua AZ barley, pils malt, Grain R&D blue beard durum/sonora, and malted white wheat. Whirlpool hopped with a blend of Strata & Cascade. Then dry hopped heavily with Ariana, Mosaic, and Cascade. Somehow ended up with a heavy Hawaiian Punch aroma/flavor. Really neat DIPA that takes us in a much smoother tropical fruit realm. A good place to be. 8.5%.

Pint can pours with a murky opaque dirty dull gold body that supports a nice light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting blend of tangelo and orange citrus paired up with mango and guava. Yes! The taste is similar with a pleasant balancing layer of bitter and tangy tangerine, tangelo and orange juiciness keeping the sweeter softer sea of mango and guava tropical fruitiness in check. This works really well. Into the finish there's a light kiss of the sweet malt base creating a bit more depth to the experience.
