The DANKWORTH series returns, this time with not one but TWO featured hop varietals. Exciting stuff. Enigma & Strata paired together to really bring out a dank/tropical DANKWORTH. This series has always been our take on the classic New England double IPA. Slightly less wheat than our typical hazy hoppy beer, subtle yet present bitterness, lower level of haze, crushable. Simply put, the hops are meant to shine in a pure form on this one, without overly fruity yeast character and that thicker body getting in the way. DANKWORTH w/ Enigma & Strata utilizes AZ grown and malted barley & @grainrandd malted Sonora white wheat. Dry hopped with 3lbs/bbl of Enigma & Strata. Initial aroma of key lime pie and a big glass of mango OJ.

Pint can pours with a murky opaque dull copper gold body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of mango, cantaloupe, grapefruit, orange and some tangelo. Nice. The taste delivers smooth juicy and tangy mango, guava and a dash of pineapple and strawberry. Behind those notes are bittering citrus hoppiness in the form of some grapefruit.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy light gold with a touch of orange and a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has papaya and citrus rind with earthy onion and light sweet grains backing. Flavor has dank citrus, light mango, some sweet grains and a bit of guava and onion backing.
