We had the distinct privilege of hosting internationally renowned Brew Gods The Answer as our first in-house collaboration. Knowing their penchant for silky, intense stouts and our love for the darkness, an imperial stout made a lot of sense. We put together a unique blend of fresh sage, vanilla paste, our favorite locally made hickory syrup, and a touch of harissa spice blend on top of a rich base of German Vienna malt, with British caramel and roasted specialty malts. And oats. Because oats. The result is pure milk chocolate with a touch of menthol from the sage and hickory syrup. We are very proud to put our name next to The Answer on this beer.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Black with tan head. Aromas of vanilla, herbs, sage, chocolate. Tastes of vanilla, herbs, sage, dark chocolate, light booze. Full body with a dry finish. The sage and vanilla seem like the strongest of the adjuncts.

Roast and plenty of booze. Oatmeal and some wafer cookie type aroma like the girl guides just rolled by. Black pour with ok head and lacing. Bittersweet. Tap at Red Apron.
