Brewing with creativity and balance is our Standard Operating Procedure, and New SOP celebrates this commitment. Generous dry hop additions create a deeply-layered palate of tropical fruit and floral flavor with restrained bitterness. This beer pours a beautiful clear golden color with a brilliant white sudsy head. New SOP is clean, smooth, and almost dangerously drinkable.

Nice and clear light amber and copper coloured bodyw ith a smooth, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, resin, pineapple, flowers and pine with a lot of hop bitterness around and some alcohol and sweetness, as well! Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malt backbone at first with a pungent, grassy flavour, some flowers and a biscuity malt presence, with the pleasant sweetness from the tropical fruits and light honey bite with the strong yeast and alcohol astringency at the very end. Aftertaste is sweet and resinous with a lot of pungency and showing perhaps, too much alcohol with a biting hop bitterness that is nice and shows the complexity through the hops. Overall, a nice 'slightly' Imperial IPA with a good hop profile and a good balance throughout - very nice to sample as a local-ish beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 08-July-2019 for US$2,99 sampled just eleven days later at home here in Washington on 19-July-2019.
