This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. 2012 Project. Aroma consists of dusty brett, strawberries, Kool-Aid powder, cider vinegar. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing white head. Taste is sour (10/10 on a sour scale), acidic, funky, almonds. Highly carbonated, medium body. Nice one.

Bottle bought at Bottle Barn, Santa Rosa in February 2014. Hazy light orange with a small head. Aroma of strawberries, some earth, citrus. Similar taste, although not as much strawberries as in the aroma. Refreshing, medium tart and easy to drink.

Sample at Kurtkeller 006: Cascade-tastic 01 on 02/21/2014. Pours a hazy reddish-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to a film. The aroma consists of fresh strawberries and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of tart strawberry, oak and yeast. The finish is mildly funky with a lingering berry aftertaste. Good beer all around.

750 ml bottle, 2012 vintage. Nose starts with Brett, oak barrel and light berry notes. Flavors starts with lactic sourness follow by oaky wood, light funky barn yard notes. The berry is very subtle and an afterthought at this point in the aging. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Nov 25, 2024 (7/3/8/3/15=3.6): Poured from 750mL bottle (2015 project) @ ABC beer share. Hazy orangey brown with minimal white head. Strawberry, lactic notes, hint of yogurt. Decent with age. Aug 25, 2013 (7/3/7/3/14=3.4): Poured from the tap. Hazy yellow with white head. Strawberry nose and flavour. Slight tartness.

Bottle at the Funky 8 - Brooklyn, NYC. Pours murky gold with a slight, filmy white head. Lots of juicy strawberry on the nose, some funky sweat, wood. Medium sweet flavor, lots of tangy, jammy strawberries, funk. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Tangy berry finish, further funk. Nice.

Bottle thanks to jesterdeal. Pours cloudy gold. White head. Nose and taste of pureed strawberry, oak, strawberry candy, sparkling berry, lightly tart strawberries and a touch of fresh strawberry milk. Lighter medium body.

Draft at the source. Cloudy golden color, thick white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of citrus, berries. Taste is fresh and bright strawberries on a soft sour background. Very tasty.

Bottle thanks to a trade. Pours a hazy light dull red with a pinkish head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a nice light tart strawberry with a bit of underlying sour and acid note. Flavor starts with a nice slightly tart strawberry note that grows to be a quite acidic finish.
