This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Bottle @ ZZT11. Hazy peach colour with no real head. Smells slightly burning plastic, strawberry, fruity, sour. Tastes sour, very fruity, strawberry, Quite nice. Medium body, medium to heavy carbo, but it works.

Bottle pour. Thanks D for sharing! Pours an apple juice color with an incredible fresh strawberry aroma. Serious pucker up on this one. Flavor is 10% sweet and 90% sour. I love this much more than I love strawberries. Incredible sour. Loved it.

From the January 2014 3R6P tasting +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a red-pink color with a medium sized foamy pink head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was strawberry jam, a bit of must and a hint of a medicinal presence. The flavor was tart and sour with strawberry, artificial sugar, must and some astringency. Long sour strawberry finish. Medium body. Interesting.

Pours reddish orange with a small head. Aroma of tart berries, vinegar, strawberries and malts. Taste is smooth, sourish and slightly tart with some wood, strawberries and yeast. Finish is sourish and tart with some strawberries and wheaty notes. Quite good.

Awesome strawberry integration - has a tempering effect on the sourness. Pours cloudy orange with pinkish tint and ok head and lacing. Nice fruit. Finishes sweet and sour in good balance. I like this one. Bottle thanks to GEV46 at Epic Sour Tasting.

Bottle (2012) shared at DC Annual Epic Sour Tasting, thanks GEV46! Cloudy apricot yellow with off-white head. Aromas of strawberry, light funk, oak. Tasting notes of strawberry, jam, tart fruit, light oak. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Tasty.

Bottle @ home, thanks to arminjewell. Thanks ! Pours a milky orange appearance with a white head. Aroma has some funk, lots of strawberries, juicy berries, vanilla, and oak. Moderately sour. Strawberry shortcake flavor. Not super sweet but still tons of strawberries. Some acid on the finish. Refreshing and easy to drink. Chill brew.

Bottle. Poured a hazy light red yellow color with a small white head. Aroma had light strawberry character, some funk. Flavor was more intense strawberries, funky. Nice!
