This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Bottle courtesy of Håkan. Gusher! Pours very hazy burnt pinkish red with a big fizzy pinkish white head that leaves some lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and tiny funky with wheat crackers, cereal, lemon juice, strawberries, hay, dry soil, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is sour, fruity and tiny funky. Mouthfeel is dry, tart and medium bodied. Finish is sour with crackers, lemon juice, frozen strawberries, apple cider vinegar, moist hay, dry soil, lemon zest and hints of barnyard. I’ve often been disappointed in Cascade sours but this is pretty spot on. Simple acidity and frozen strawberries. Solid! --- Beer merged from original tick of Strawberry on 19 Sep 2015 at 01:36 - Score: 7

Hazy amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of burned plastic, fruity strawberry, funk. Sour flavour, funk, strawberry, rubber, burning plastic. Finish plastic, strawberry, quite fruity. 2013 project. Promising beer, too bad of the burned plastic notes.

Bottle @ ZZT XI. Hazy orange color, medium sized fizzy white head that disappears almost instantly. Initially the aroma leans towards burning rubber, but when that subsides a lovely soft strawberry aroma is what’s left. Taste is very good as well: soft strawberry, softly sour, other red fruits. Very subtle and very good. Lovely fruit beer.
