This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head. The aroma is a strong strawberry and candy. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet fruit and stawberry with light tart in the finish. Easy to drink, a very impressive sour ale from Cascade.

Very lightly hazed orange/amber with a thin off white head that soon clears to edge. Nose comprises light strawbwerry notes, tarte fruit, light vinegar tones. Taste follows nose, light tarte strawberry, sour fruit tones, light sugars. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation leading to a tarte finish.

2011 Vintage. Acquired in a trade and enjoyed with some new friends from BA in my HFS glass.

A - Light cloudy rose color. Sediment at the bottom

S - Tart scent with some light strawberry and grape notes

T - Taste is very tart. Lots of strawberry. Very much fruit loop taste.

M - Light body. High carbonation.

O - I felt this beer would be pretty gimmicky but it was fantastic and so well balanced.

White foam for a second (maybe the glass? bottle sports 1.5 cm of head internally); then uniform - if end of bottle more cloudy - bit tired looking, "Indian red" coloured beer. Sourish-fruity aroma, red fruit (I’d rather guessed redcurrant or even Northern Cherry, than strawberry). Very sour and quite fruity. Again mainly red fruit; fruitacids and lactic; flavour as from rhubarb. Very refreshing, light body, apparently fully attenuated. Nice, authentic fruitflavour, but further rather light MF - not empty, but lacking a tad of complexity. Many thanks for bringing, Don Sssss!
