Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear dark red-brown with a thin beige head. Aromas are hazelnuts and chocolate. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish.

Bottle from Beer And Wine Direct, Halifax. Very dark red, next to no head. Has some sweetness and similarly, some roasted malt, but it’s all very light as you’d expect in a mild.

Appearance: Brown colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Malt, raisin.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Roasted malt, raisin, some chocolate.

Bottled. Hazy mahogany colour, Dark bread with notes of raisin. Mid sweet with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel, toffee and light raisin. Low bitterness.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, roasted, malty, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130330]
