This highly esteemed bittersweet apple was originally found in a hedgerow in Somerset by a Mr Dabinett. He saved the tree and propagated it. The Dabinett is now a renowned for it's high quality single variety ciders.

This is a single orchard, medium-dry authentic cider using Dabinett bittersweet apples. It is still, full juice, smooth and wildly popular.

All the Dabinett apples are organically grown at our Cider Farm located in the wilds of West Dorset.

25/1/2019. From bag in box at the 10th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of semi dry apples. Moderate sweetness and tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Crisp, dry, quite sharp finish. Enjoyed this.

500ml bottle from Scrattings, as Dorset Nectar Dabinett Organic Cider 5.8%. Orangey gold colour, good sized white foam head that rapidly dissipates away and aroma of mucky apple, barnyard funk. Taste is juicy apple, bittersweet, fruity, sweetish with light funk and alittle drying tannin. Medium bodied, low to medium carbonation, dry light earthy tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

Bladder box at the Stable, Falmouth, 25/04/16. Golden with a soon fading crown of off White bubbles. Nose is apple orchard, straw, light smoke. Taste comprises bitter sweet apple skins, light funky green berry, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Ok.

Polycask @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear light to medium amber yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, apple porridge, horse blanket notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to long duration, apples, apple porridge. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20120504]

Polycask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, no head. Aroma is sour and tart apples with some mild yeasty and vanillaish notes. Flavour is apples, slight spicy, yeasty, with mild honey and vanilla.
