Bottiglia. Sentori di sottobosco vanno a dare soddisfazione al naso. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera molto elevata ed elegante e la maniera in cui permane è considerevole, pregevole e lunga. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza e termina con merletti sul bordo del bicchiere. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. La carbonazione è vivace. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante, articolato e robusto. Il dolce è medio in buon equilibrio con l'amaro medio: non si surclassano. La forza gustativa è molto elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e lunga. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva e assolutamente da bere. Il finale è felpato, setoso, pulito e complesso. Il retrogusto è intenso e persistente. In bocca l'aroma di caramello, miele, cioccolato, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, agrumi, frutta passita, vinoso, prugna, cherry e vaniglia trasformano la bocca in uno scrigno di tesori.

Many bottles at various locations throughout the years. Well-balanced aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, nuts, raisins, dried fruits, touch of chocolate, butterscotch. Flavour is sweet with a very smooth finish. Body is again quite smooth and nicely medium to full. Very earthy, rich and well-balanced.

Figs, raisins, rich and strong

В аромате слишком сильно чувствуется алкоголь и легкая сладость. Во вкусе сильно ощущается карамель и солод. Также немного сухофруктов. Алкоголь абсолютно не чувствуется но все же есть ощущение что пиво плотное и крепкое. Послевкусие фруктовое, очень мягкое. В целом пиво заслуживает своих высоких оценок.

From Amstein, a great classic, never tired to drink it. As usual, not an impression of 11% , really malty, yeasty, syrupy, fruity, plum, toffee, sugar, subtle and classic bitterness, full body and aroma, perfecr after a full day with the children. 22.01.25

About time I got to this one. Pours a dark mahogany with good sized and lasting beige foam. Aroma of malts, caramel, figs, dried fruits, sugar. Taste has notes of caramel, treacle, dried fruits, blackcurrant, candy sugar, plenty of alcohol warmth but not abrasive, rich but not sickly. Medium to full bodied and thankfully not too heavy, lively soft carbonation. Very flavoursome indeed. I prefer the Rochefort 8 but this is still a very fine beer.
