Ever so slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thick, long-lasting head, about seven centimetres at first that fades to just three or so. Aroma of bright grassy and very herbal hops at first with a relatively large dose of mangoes and some citrus, all with a nice structured malt and alcohol bite towards the end in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal hops up front that show some dryness along with a light bready yeastie quality and ending with a dose of tropical fruits, with the mangoes front and centre and a touch of guava towards the end as well. Aftertaste shows the proper balance of malt and hops with a light bitterness, but not much of anything else - some citrus, perhaps. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA that borders on a plain IPA, but without any drastic flavours or profiles that vary from the malt/hops combination, aside from the slightest bit of mangoes, but no passionfruit at all. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-September-2018 for US$3,69 sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-January-2019.

16 ounce can. Honey gold pour topped by a massive rocky white head. Faint fruity malt nose. Bittersweet citrus hops upfront. Passionfruit notes. Light bready malt in middle. Dryish, peppery hop finish.

Over carby but still great, nicely fruity and juiced. Even more fruity after a bit. Nice!

Pours a hazy dark amber from a can, some lacing. Light fruity aroma is a little underwhelming, flavor is thin and somewhat tropical fruit like, but this is mostly a poor showing.

Tap at Draught 55 day off brew. Orange pour. Light tropical fruit nose some pine sol. Tastes of passion fruit (although not heavy for being added), mango, pine, little plastic, grainy. Sick palate. Slight abv warmness. Ok

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a pale burnt yellow to ruddy orange color with a light transparency about it. Sly carbonation rising to meet a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of foamy head. Subtle clingy filmy lace.
The aroma had some sweet grainy malts up front and then some sweet to bitter citrusy hops. Some mango comes in and then finally but the passionfruit, oddly enough shows up last.
The flavor leads with the sweetness from the hop juices and blends with the sweet grainy malts decently. Tropical juices come across faintly. Grainy sweet to tropical juicy sticky aftertaste hitting the finish in the same sort of way.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a gritty hop burn hitting my tongue. Slightly a sipper, almost sessionable, definitely an in-between. Carbonation feels good. ABV feels fine.
Overall, well, it has a ton of potential, I’ll give it that. I really hope I’m not getting too far up in ratings where I start overly picking apart beers. This one, maybe again, left scratching my beard on this one.

From the can. Passionfruit and mango aromas. Thick with bitter pith and mango front to back.
