Nice name. A 12 oz can that I believe came from one of the local HEBs. Can’t say that I’ve had a lot of beers in this style but I do find it attractive in principle. Opening the can and tilting into my Cowtown snifter. It is quite red, maybe call it amber-red, with a steadily reinforced cover of ivory tan foam. The nose has plenty of grain, hops and a small bit of caramel. And the drink is likewise nice. Baked wheat bread, lots of cedar, leather, some grapefruit, cereal and a bare touch of toffee. Not really bitter but enough. I call this the best red IPA I’ve tasted.
