Grocery store beer! - Six pack on sale for 11.99 at Kroger - lightly hazy gold - fairly thick lace - definitely harkens back to the old days of double IPAs - tropical, herbal, lightly dank - moderately bitter, with sweeter notes of pineapple and melon - a little bit warming on the end, but otherwise the alcohol is hidden well - it’s pretty good.

A 12 oz can severely chilled, now open and headed into a globe glass. Yellow-gold in with a slim cover of solid white foam and showing a significant carbonation. I smell some citrus, some tropical and a bit of hoppiness. The taste definitely tilts west coast, at least by me. Lemon, straw, plenty of hops, honeydew, a touch of hard candy and enough pine to acknowledge. I find a fair bitterness and a moderately full sensation as I drink. A pretty fine IIPA, I’m glad to see the style returning.
