Wrist Rocket is an easy drinking and well-rounded beer, not unlike that award-winning blonde ale you all know and love – Firemans #4. Like a Firemans, this ride is smooth and crisp, with notes of apricot and honey, and a pleasant golden hue. But don’t be deluded by the light body and sessionable mouthfeel, this blonde hits different, weighing in at a formidable 8.5% ABV. With this new Imperial Blonde our always on-target brew squad steps up to the line, takes dead aim, and hits the bullseye. Pull a few back, and prepare to blast off!

12 oz. can from Total Wine - San Antonio, TX. Pours a semi-clear gold color with an off-white head and good retention. Barely any lacing. Bready and light booze aroma. Initial light bread flavor that's quickly overpowered by a boozy finish. The 8.5% ABV is obvious yet still relatively smooth and clean. Very warming. I'm not getting any of the apricot flavor. and I barely detect any honey notes. The flavor is sacrificed by the alcohol. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness.

A beer I thought is would get to try at the brewery earlier this month, didn’t happen. Tonight on our first really hot early evening this year my Teku is in place for the pour from the 12 oz can I got at HEB. I call it pure gold, an inspiring color followed by a a thin skim of absolutely white foam. The nose is dried peaches, perhaps a bit of citrus and grain. The taste is pretty damn decent. A nectarine sweetness, dry toast, hops, honeydew and malt. A little sweet, a little bitter and the same with the dryness. A blonde with tripel aspirations, rated accordingly.
