Dull amber-brown. Vague caramel accent to the aroma. Sweetish character. Very dull and boring.

Overall Impression: This beer was all over the place in Israel, I didn't realize at this time that it was made there (just assumed it was imported from Tuborg), but I guess that makes sense. Anyway, it is nothing exciting, an average beer, that is drinkable, but not distinguishable. Something that refreshes without being really good or bad.

50cl bottle from a corner shop in Herzelia. Gold with a thin white head; herbal aroma; rather thinly bodied, some sweet malts with a touch of vanilla, and a grassy metallic finish. Refreshing but noting more.

Bottled in Beit She’an. Pale amber, no head. Neutral aroma. Sweetish and fruity with medium body. Tasteless, limp and lifeless. No trace of hops. Blown up wbut without substabce.

Leicht süßer Malzgeruch, mild. Etwas getreidig herb, trocken, lasch. Angedeutet malzig im Abgang, etwas getreidiger. Ok. Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,7,7,6,8,7 - 6,90

0.5L can, foamy head that disappears more quickly than Road Runner. Light brown colour with yellow taints, doesn’t look too good. light aroma of malt and caramel and faint traces of hop, sweetish taste and some unpleasant bitterness. Aftertsate is short with an unpleasant bitterness. I think this should be categorised as a pale lager and not a vienna.

Re-rate 4/26/08: Draught at Bleecker Tzafon. Clear amber with a medium white head. Malty, a bit grainy aroma with faint toasty notes. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of caramel and a mildly bitter finish with metal. Light-bodied. Not too much flavor, but drinkable and better than all other mass-produced lagers in Israel. 4/3/4/2/9=2.2
OK, now this isn’t exactly a Vienna, but this is the closest category I could think of. I didn’t enter this beer in the Tuborg Rød Lagerøl listing, since it’s brewed in Israel, it’s 5.2% ABV, it’s definitely not a Dunkel, and it doesn’t really smell or taste like the ratings there suggest it should. Bottle. Amber-colored with a disapearing small white head. Smell of malt and notes of roastiness. Sweet malty flavor with a bit of roastiness and finishes with some bitterness. Quite watery. Better than Tuborg Green, but that’s it. 4/3/4/2/7=2.0
