I tried a 5 oz glass of Romanov's Revenge in a flight of four at the brewery recently. It shows completely black with a thin ring of tan foam circling the glass. I got a slight scent of ash along with chocolate. The taste was likewise ash, caramel, wheat bread, chocolate and black licorice. The sensation was a density thinner than I prefer.
