Inspired by the rich and complex tradition of mole, we built a blend of imperial stouts aged in bourbon barrels for 11-26 months and conditioned upon Ecuadorian cacao nibs, chile de arbol, black peppercorn, cinnamon sticks, allspice, clove and sesame seeds. The resulting beer presents a robust experience, balancing the melange of spices with deep, savory richness, soft bourbon spirit, and a warming heat that excites the palate.

A dink pour (thx to the kind bartender!). Cause after Andrew's review why would I get a 5oz of the pepper beer? Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: spicy, some berries, moderately sweet. Taste: along the same lines, definitely has a very noticeable spice aspect. Quite balanced, though. Overall: quite nice. +1 point for the nice integration.

Bottle pour, shared by Tcon. Thanks! What a treat. Dense midnight black pour with little head. Whiskey and sweet chocolate nose. Big aroma. Flavor has that pepper mole kick I was looking for. Lingering heat. Nice balance of sweet, spicy, and whiskey booze. Drinks smoother than expected, though obviously has a bite. Cocoa and caramel front, and the heat starts to tingle, then grows. I sure love a beer with peppers. Stout. Even cooler! Love this.
