West Coast is the best coast, right? Sure, we love us some hazy IPAs, but sometimes, nothing goes down smoother than a clean and crisp West Coast IPA. And with fresh hops? All the better. Rahr Pale Malt & Skagit Valley Malting C-20 form a base hopped with Cascade & Chinook hops and then generously fresh-hopped with fresh Amarillo from Roy Farms. Flavors of pine, grass, toffee, honey & a touch of mango. It tastes like hops in a bag.

Hazy, thin head, soft body, low bitterness, not much in terms of pine, hop expression lower than I would expect for a beer of this name.

Draft at Hops & Bottles. Clear golden pour, short lived foamy white head. Hoppy aroma, light piney notes. Taste is mildly hoppy, not as strong as you'd think from the title, pine

On tap at Ridgewood, pours a clear bright blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals bright piney hops, grassiness, juicy tropical fruits, and biscuity malt. Flavour has a herbaceous and grassy hop character, some woodiness, and crisp biscuity malt. Herbaceous and piney finish. Very good despite not being in love with the hop expression.

On tap at Ridgewood. Pours clear gold with a white head. Dank oils, fresh pine, doughy fresh hops on the nose. Flavour has lots of bitter pine and resins, soft doughy fresh hop character. Nicely done.

Draft pour pint enjoyed at Hop and Hound. A mostly clean, autumn orange appearance with a moderate foam head and tons of lacing. Soft bready malts on the nose, and some hints of forest like hops. Really smooth taste. Thicker body, notes of sweet tropical fruit cut by cool piney hop character. Creamy texture makes this drink very easy. Exceptionally smooth and delicious fresh hop here.
