TROPICAL | PASSIONFRUIT | DRY -- The second of our Nippon or Japanese IPA series, Bakuhatsu means "eruption" or "explosion" in Japanese and is a fitting way to describe the unleashed fury of hop flavor and aroma in this West Coast style IPA. Definitely on the dry side of the IPA spectrum, Bakuhatsu features Centennial, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin hops in a very well-balanced hop flavor and aroma presentation without overwhelming bitterness. Kampai!

Draft pour pint, enjoyed at Hop and Hound. It's good to be home, and back to normal. This IPA just reminds me of relaxing in the PNW. Soft haze, golden orange pour. Thin fizz head. An earthy hop nose. Grassy, a bit piney. Body is a little thicker. Earthy and onion hops, but a mostly smooth IPA. Grain is just a tad gritty. The finish is cool, and its refreshing overall. Bold and interesting IPA here.
