With our friends at Founders Brewing, we went looking for a perfectly balanced IPA. What we found was golden promise, 2-row barley and flaked oats, and we added Simcoe, HBC 522 and Mosaic hops. Ripe melon, citrus, and pale malt flavors abound in this late summer sipper.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7

Draft pour pint at Chucks, Central District. Very clean, shiny golden pour. An earthy reminding hop profile on the aroma. Very grassy flavor. Bold hops here. Moderate bitter. Lingering hop character. For some reason, this wasn't really what I expected to come from these two, but still good overall.

Crowler fill. Aroma is citrus rind, peach, cat piss, orange juice. Pours hazy golden with a thick white head with good retention and some splotchy lace. Taste has mid-level bitterness with some juicy citrusy hop flavor. A good belch leaves lots of resinous leafy hop flavor on the palate. Yummy!
